Programs for children 18 months through 5 years old.

3–5 years

Full Day Integrated Classrooms

9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, daily

Our full day integrated preschool program runs 9:00 – 2:00 daily. The integrated classroom uses a team-teaching approach, collaboratively staffed by Story Place Preschool and the daycare program housed on our campus. The class includes children ages three to five, with a special education teacher, a nursery school teacher, and up to two teacher assistants depending on enrollment. Therapy services are provided during the preschool day, both in and out of the classroom, depending on each child's goals. The class can accommodate up to 6 children with special needs and up to 10 typically developing children. Daycare families can enroll two, three, or five days a week. Activities are play-based and facilitate learning through small-group, large-group, and self-directed play.

Full Day Self-Contained Classrooms

9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, five days per week

Story Place Preschool is licensed to operate two full-day (five-hour) center-based classrooms for children 3–5 years. Each classroom is staffed by a special education teacher and 2 teacher assistants, with 10 students. Meets five days per week and follows the regional school calendar.

18 months – 3 years

Toddler Day Care

Two, three, or five day options

Toddler Day Care is offered to children 18 months – 3 years old. Two, three, or five day options are available. Enrichment activities include a weekly Speech and Language Group, a weekly Occupational Therapy Group, and Amazing Athletes twice a month. The classroom is staffed by an Early Childhood Education Teacher, a certified Teacher Assistant, and a Classroom Aide. Maximum 12 students.

Day Care

9 AM – 2 PM (preschool)7-9AM before care; 2–5 PM after care

Day Care is offered to students ages 3–5 years. Two, three, or five day options are available. We follow the New York State Pre-K Common Core Learning Standards in developing all lessons and activities. Enrichment includes therapy groups, field trips, and 'guest' presenters on specific topics or talents. Staffed by an early childhood education teacher, a certified special education teacher, and a certified teacher assistant. Maximum 16 students.

Before & After School Enrichment

Before care 7:00–9:00 AM, after care 2:00–5:00 PM, year-round Mon–Fri

Before care (7:00–9:00 AM) and after care (2:00–5:00 PM) enrichment for all children 3 – 5 years. Highly qualified staff, social skill development with peers, an optional rest period, nutritious snack, and developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor activities. The program operates year-round, including school breaks, Monday through Friday.
