(518) 477-7103 With winter weather comes snow days. We'd like to remind you of our winter school delay/closing policy. CLOSINGS: Story Place or Let's Explore Preschools do not necessarily close when East Greenbush or Schodack schools close. As long as road conditions are not too hazardous, we will be open. If we decide to close, the following stations will air our closing announcement: TELEVISION/ RADIO Newschannel 13 WROW AM 590 Channel 10 WYJB FM 95.5 WFLY FM 92.3 WAJZ FM 96.3 WZMR FM 104.9 When the Preschools are closed, there will be no classes. If bad weather begins during the daytime hours while your child is here, and we decide to close early, a parent of each child will be contacted. (Please be sure we have your current telephone numbers where you can be reached.) DELAYS: * If your child is transported by bus, it is important to keep in mind that if the school district in which you live is closed, the bus company will not transport your child to school, even if the Preschool is open or starting late. You may, of course, transport your child to and from school when there is no transportation on these days. * On a snowy/icy school day, the announcement may state that Story Place Preschool or Let's Explore Preschool is OPEN WITH NO TRANSPORTATION. This means that though there will be no bus transportation all day for children who ride the bus to school, our staff is in and our classes are open and running on time. Please feel free to transport your child to and from school. * Please remember that if your child is going to be picked up early from school by any adult other than the child's parent or legal guardian, that the Preschool must be notified. Children will not be released to any adult who is not listed on the Authorization For Child Release Form in your child's chart.
